Queens Worker Injured Chasing Shoplifters

A Jamaica clothing store employee who tried to stop two shoplifters was struck by their vehicle as they fled, the police said. The employee, whom the police identified only as a man in his 50s, saw a man and a woman take merchandise from the store, Pretty Girl, at 162-21 Jamaica Avenue about 1:20 p.m. and chased them.
